Hi, I'm Peggy
I am a UX designer living and working in New York. I find passion in improving the experience of others – particularly in education, healthcare, non-profit, and public work areas. Fueled by my training in UX design, digital brand marketing, and project management, I specialize in creating data-driven design solutions that balance customer insights, design feasibility, and organizational goals, while keeping the project on track and stakeholders at all levels engaged. I care deeply about the people I work with, for, and have the privilege to mentor.
When I am not working, I love doing activities that challenge me physically and mentally. You can likely find me playing puzzles, bouldering at a climbing gym, or being in nature somewhere with my Frenchie, Olivia.

My Journey into UX design
Throughout my career, customer experience has been foundational to every role I've held. Immediately out of school, I worked as a client-facing office administrator for an interior design firm where I found a love for developing processes and systems that make things work. I launched my career at a consumer-goods startup in New York where I worked for over 5 years to help grow and refine their brand reach. I was responsible for strategizing brand experiences across marketing channels, such as social media strategy, on-and-offline events, and local retail marketing initiatives. During my tenure, I was also fortunate enough to collaborate with our Engineering team to develop a digital membership product and a national plantfluencer ambassador program that made me realize I was most energized when I was collaborating with them — creating anything from feature iterations to a responsive website design — and I wanted to get my hands in and be part of building solutions. From there, I took a leap of faith, quit my job to complete a 500+-hour UX Design Bootcamp at General Assembly, and then launched my design career.
How I work
Open communication is the backbone of any effective collaboration. I am proactive and communicative about the needs, goals, setbacks, and strategy of the task at hand while keeping the stakeholders at all levels engaged with the progress to ensure a successful project outcome. User focus and empathy have been foundational to every role in my career. I do that by practicing active listening, asking questions, anticipating needs, and creating solutions that address problems. And this is absolutely the case in my approach to design, too. Data-driven to harmonize business, technical, and design perspectives. Whether trying to upsell a client, collaborate with a partner, or win leadership approval for a project, data has always been critical to my approach and what wins the day.
